Individual Care

Integrative Manual Therapy (IMT): This physical therapy exercise is best described as an holistic health care treatment. Its approach to pain relief is unique, as it takes into account all the components of the body. It restores the body’s natural ability to heal itself and stay healthy without invasive treatments, surgery or drugs.

While IMT is a hands-on technique, its premise is that the body operates as a whole and that all the systems of the body seek to protect it in order to function at optimum.

Myofascial Release: This is a gentle “hands on technique” to release restrictions in a connective tissue called fascia. This tissue tends to tighten up after trauma and the spasm must be released to increase flexibility and bring pain relief.

Natural Pain Relief and Rehabilitation in the Water: The therapist will often stand in the water with the patient holding his hands to reassure him as he learns to move again. Depending on the depth of the water in which the client is performing, buoyancy can eliminate gravity up to 90%. This makes it easier to move, especially to move the muscles in the lower part of the body and the extremities. Patients will find that they can perform many physical therapy exercise in the water, which they could not do on land.

This holistic health therapy enables the heart to work more efficiently. The pressure of the water pushes equally on all body surfaces. This increases the natural blood circulation and the blood is able to flow back easily to the heart.

Conditions which have been treated successfully are sports injuries, fibromyalgia, sciatica, arthritis, multiple sclerosis, and heart/stroke conditions.

During the course of the physical therapy exercises practitioners continually reassess and treat newly revealed layers of dysfunction and patients can experience a natural pain relief.
