What are your career goals for the future?
My immediate goal is to pursue a Doctorate program in occupational therapy, where I can develop skills to directly help individuals regain mobility and independence in their lives. Occupational therapy offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact, and I am excited and eager to contribute to the profession. Ultimately, I aspire to gain extensive experience in the DOT program and achieve licensure as an occupational therapist.

What do you enjoy about the healthcare profession?
I enjoy the opportunity of being able to connect with many people throughout the day and value the chance to make a meaningful difference in their lives. Every interaction builds trust and offers a spark of hope for regaining independence. I find the combination of human connection and tangible improvement most enjoyable and rewarding when working in the healthcare profession.

What is a hobby that you enjoy doing?
I enjoy playing tennis, because knowing how to control the ball feels fantastic, allowing me to strategically place it anywhere on the court. Recently, I've also taken up golfing, which I find enjoyable. Especially because of the beautiful nature that surrounds you on the course. Although I still miss about 40% of my shots, I see it as part of the learning process, and I believe practice makes perfect! Right?

What is something that you do regularly that you find to be helpful?
Something I do regularly, like many others, is drive but for me, it's more than just getting from place to place. Driving gives me time alone to reflect on my emotions while blasting my favorite music. It's one of my best de-stressors, especially at night when roads are calmer and I don't have to worry about traffic or the glare of the sun.

Do you have any pets? Tell us about them.
I currently have three pets. Two dogs and one cat, all of whom I love dearly. My first dog is a Chihuahua mix that we adopted after my mom's friend found her at the entrance of a freeway. We knew right away we wanted to give her a safe home. My second dog, also a chihuahua mix, came to us through family. My cousin gifted him to us, and he quickly became part of the household. Lastly, my cat's story is especially memorable. She was meowing, outside my window for hours, and when I went to check, I found her alone in the tall grass. Each of them has a unique personality, and together they add so much joy and character to my family.
